Email Throttling
Limiting the rate at which emails are sent to avoid triggering spam filters.
Email throttling controls how many emails you send per hour or per day from each account. Email providers monitor sending patterns, and sudden bursts of email are a red flag.
Recommended limits for cold email: 30-50 emails per day per Google Workspace account, 50-75 per day per Microsoft 365 account, and spacing emails at least 30-60 seconds apart.
Most cold email platforms handle throttling automatically, distributing sends throughout the day to mimic natural sending patterns. Manual throttling is important if you're using SMTP services directly.
