MX Record
Mail Exchange record — a DNS record that specifies which mail servers accept email for your domain.
MX (Mail Exchange) records are DNS records that direct email to the correct mail servers for your domain. Without properly configured MX records, your domain cannot receive email.
For cold email, MX records matter because receiving servers check that the sending domain can also receive email. A domain with no MX records looks suspicious and is more likely to be flagged as spam.
MX records have a priority value (lower = higher priority), allowing you to set up primary and backup mail servers. For example, Google Workspace uses MX records pointing to ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM with priority 1.
